Rock n' roll quartet Sweet Addiction was formed in August 1997 by the long-time childhood friends Axl, Jacob, Peter and Jonatan. They all came out of the same background and knew what they wanted to create. With an instrumental set-up inspired by the early 70's, the music was created out of their early musical influences, such as KISS, Bad Religion and The Stooges, played with an attitude inspired by The Dead Boys and MC5.
In the year of 2001, they released their first self-financed EP - '5:th Generation Rock'. In January 2002 Sweet Addiction started to record the demo 'Sweet Addiction wipes out Las Vegas', which was released in March the same year. During the autumn of 2002 Sweet Addiction was signed to Good Head Records, which resulted in the split-CD 'Tonight's show: Sweet Addiction & Tomba Leo' (2003). The record resulted in more gigs, video-recordings and as a great start of the summer of 2003 Sweet Addiction was supporting brother Wayne Kramer of the legendary MC5 at his only gig in Gothenburg.
In November 2005 the boys covered for US-veterans Adam West during their tour in Scandinavia, they played the annual festival PopKomm in Berlin and they were signed to Alleycat Records (www.alleycat.se). Sweet Addiction's debut full-length album 'Class and Dignity' was released the 14:th of January 2006. The band promoted the release in September with a tour through Germany. That's it for now...
